About me

Kunal Bajaj heads Private Capital Markets at Blume Ventures, with the responsibility of maintaining the firm’s institutional relationships and ensuring that Blume's portfolio companies have access to the best possible pools of capital.

I've found my way from the sell-side into the VC world over the years. I spent 18-odd years at global investment banks – Goldman Sachs in Tokyo; JP Morgan, CLSA, Credit Suisse and Jefferies in India – mostly on the sell-side institutional equities desk covering global mutual funds, hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds.

After leaving Jefferies as Managing Director and Co-Head of India Equities in 2015, I built and sold my wealth-tech startup, Clearfunds, to a payments company, MobiKwik.

I love finance and technology (in no particular order), mostly read sci-fi and fantasy, and watch more Netflix than I should.
